Confirmation statement
Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once a year, within 14 days of the end of its 12-month review period.
Is this you?
Every limited company and LLP, active or dormant.
The detail
The statement confirms that the information on the public register is correct: registered office, officers, shareholders, share capital, people with significant control and SIC codes. Changes are filed separately; the statement confirms them. A fee is payable with it.
What it costs
There is no automatic penalty, but not filing is a criminal offence for the directors and Companies House can start striking the company off the register. Source: gov.uk and Companies House guidance, checked September 2026.
Now
The review date is on your company's Companies House page. Buzz files it as part of company secretarial work.
