Terms and Conditions
These terms cover your use of the buzzaccounting.co.uk website and the general information on it. If you are a client, the work we do for you is governed by your letter of engagement, which takes precedence over anything on this site.
1. Who we are
Buzz Accounting Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 15182358, VAT registration number GB481 882 554. Our registered office is 16 Aylmer Parade, Aylmer Road, London N2 0PE, and we also work from Unit 13:62 Fenaghy Road, Ballymena, Co. Antrim BT42 1FL.
We are a licensed accounting practice of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), licensed through Peter Allen MAAT, licence number 1001556. Our licence, professional indemnity insurance and anti-money-laundering supervision are all set out on our Regulatory Information page.
2. Information, not advice
The guides, articles, calculators and comparisons on this site are general information for UK businesses. They are not personalised accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. Tax rules change and depend on your circumstances, so confirm your own position with a qualified adviser before acting on anything here. We are happy to be that adviser.
Calculators produce estimates from the figures you enter and the assumptions shown alongside them. They are not a substitute for advice or a formal computation.
3. Client work is governed by your engagement letter
If you become a client, our work for you is governed by your letter of engagement and the terms of business attached to it — not by this page. Where anything on this site conflicts with your engagement letter, the engagement letter wins. That covers the scope of the work, what each of us is responsible for, fees, liability, and how either of us can bring the arrangement to an end.
Prices shown on this site are indicative, exclude VAT unless stated, and are confirmed in writing before you commit to anything. We cannot start work for a new client until identity and anti-money-laundering checks are complete.
4. What we are not authorised to do
No Buzz company is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing on this site is regulated financial advice or a financial promotion. Where you need regulated advice, we can introduce you to Equity & General Financial Services Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the FCA, firm reference number 474163. An introduction is entirely optional, and if you become their client they pay us a commission.
An AAT practising licence does not cover statutory audit or licensed insolvency work, and we carry out neither. Buzz Legal Ltd and Buzz Money Ltd are separate companies with their own terms.
5. Partner services
Where we link to or recommend a third-party service — banking, software or funding, for example — that service is provided by the third party under its own terms and eligibility criteria. We may receive a commission or other benefit when you use a partner service. It never changes what you pay.
6. Using this site
Please use the site sensibly: no attempting to gain unauthorised access, and no automated collection at a scale that affects how it runs. Any portal or account login we issue is personal to you, and you are responsible for keeping it confidential.
7. Intellectual property
The content, design, guides, tools and calculators on this site belong to Buzz Accounting Ltd. You are welcome to read, download and print pages for your own business use. Reproducing or republishing them elsewhere needs our written permission.
8. Liability for this website
We keep the content as accurate and current as we reasonably can, but we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on general information on this site, or from the site being unavailable.
Liability for work we carry out for clients is dealt with in the engagement letter, not here. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
9. Privacy and data protection
Personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZB869937.
10. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, our Complaints page sets out how to raise it, the timescales we work to, and how to escalate to AAT if you are not satisfied with our response.
11. Changes to these terms
We update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows the current version, and continuing to use the site means you accept it.
12. Governing law
If you are a client, the governing law and courts are those stated in your engagement letter — England and Wales, or Northern Ireland, depending on where your business is based. For use of this website on its own, the law of England and Wales applies and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you are resident in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in the Northern Ireland courts.
