Pay Corporation Tax
Corporation Tax is due nine months and one day after the end of the company's accounting period. Unusually, the payment is due before the return.
Is this you?
Every limited company with taxable profits. Companies with profits over £1.5 million pay in instalments instead.
The detail
A year end of 31 March 2027 means payment by 1 January 2028. The figure comes from the tax computation, so the accounts need to be well advanced before the payment date, not just before the filing date.
Buzz's portal shows an estimate of the tax building up during the year and a monthly amount to set aside, so the payment is not a surprise.
